Department Mission Statement: The primary mission of the Christian Outreach and Religious Education Ministry is the faith formation of students. In addition, we facilitate the spiritual growth of the Saint Joseph Academy community through worship, service, retreats and catechesis.

CORE Ministry is a collaborative team that embraces Catholic identity rooted in the traditions and values of the Congregation of Saint Joseph. We model a personal and active relationship with the Trinitarian God and each other.

Student Accomplishments:

• Students from St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge, La. and Saint Joseph Academy annually "Serve Together” on weeklong mission trips. Trips alternate between Cleveland and Baton Rouge.
• Students have taken additional mission trips to Wheeling, WV and Neon, KY.
• Students participated in Mission Trip to El Salvador with International Partners in Mission with students from Gilmour Academy and St. Martin de Porres high schools.
