An Evening of Reflection for Women
An Evening of Reflection for Women
An evening of prayer and inspiration to renew your spirit

At Saint Joseph Academy
3430 Rocky River Drive
Cleveland, OH 44111

Wednesday, March 10, 2010
6pm - 9pm

Cost: $20 (includes a light supper)

Evening includes prayer and two break-out sessions.

Choose two from the following:

Sr. Pat Kozak, CSJ '64 - Jesus 202.  We have all grown up with Jesus, passed Him on to our children, and drawn on His teachings as we make sense of life day to day.  But what about those times when life seems complicated, when the simple answers don't help, and we find ourselves wondering what difference Jesus really makes?  What does Jesus have to offer adult believers in a complex world?

Sr. Janet Moore, OSU - Lenten Joy: An Oxymoron? Sr. Janet's music meditations are based on the premise that focused attention to appropriately chosen classical music can lead the listener to the threshold of contemplative prayer.  In this liturgical season must we be confined by dirges, or is there a cause for profound joy that only music can express?

Sr. Mary Schrader, CSJ '61 - "God is the perfect poet."  This comment by Robert Browning reminds us of the power of words.  Listening to and praying with the beautifully expressed insights of poets and mystics can draw us into the Sacred.

Sr. Carrie Vall, CSJ - Praying in Color.  Sr. Carrie will lead us in a way of communal intercessory prayer using colors and doodling!  No previous art experience is necessary.  Sr. Carrie's sessions are filled, and are no longer available.
