All eighth grade students applying to Saint Joseph Academy must take our Placement Test and registration is required (see below). We offer three testing dates - October 30, 2010, November 6, 2010, or January 8, 2011. Students may choose any one of these three dates and may only test once.
The results of this test are used to recommend placement in freshman courses. Additionally, the results of the October 30 and November 6 tests will be used to award Academic Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to students with the 25 best scores as follows: three $4,000 awards, three $2,000 awards, five $1,000 awards, and 14 $500 awards.
Saint Joseph Academy uses the ACT EXPLORE test which includes sections in English, Math, Reading, Science. Students may bring a basic calculator for use on the Math portion only; all other testing materials will be provided. The test fee is $20, payable by cash or check (payable to Saint Joseph Academy), on the day of the test.

While students are taking the Placement Test on October 30, 2010 and November 6, 2010, parents are invited to our Parent Forum from 9-10:30am to learn about academic opportunities, student life, scholarships, tuition assistance, transportation and much more!
