SHADOWING GUIDELINES

Shadowing provides an excellent opportunity for 8th grade girls to spend a school day at Saint Joseph Academy — touring the campus, observing our classes, and meeting many of our teachers and students.  If you are considering SJA for high school, shadowing is a great way to answer many of the questions you might have about us!

Shadowing begins in September and continues through December.  Visits can be arranged Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday during each of those months.

Check with your current school about their policy on high school visits.  Then, submit a request form to arrange your visit.  Your request form must be received at least one week prior to your visit.

·     Dress code – your school uniform or skirt, dress slacks (no jeans), blouse, sweater and school shoes.  No tennis shoes should be worn.

·     Report to the Main Office at 7:45am.  Classes start at 8:00am.

·     A lunch pass will be provided (you may bring your own lunch if you choose).

·     Please bring reading material or schoolwork.

·     Dismissal will be at 2:45pm.

·     We will contact you via e-mail one or two days prior to your visit to confirm.

Come prepared with some questions for our teachers and students and be ready to have a fun and informative day with us!

Please keep in mind that due to the number of students visiting and limited classroom size, we may have to place visiting students in groups.
