IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
All scholarship applications must be submitted to Saint Joseph Academy by DEC. 7, 2009
(with the exception of the Music Scholarship which is due NOV. 30, 2009).
The Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Student Aid Form must be submitted
directly to PSAS by NOV. 23, 2009.
Tuition assistance can be separated into two categories:
1. Need-based awards
2. Merit-based and Other awards
NEED-BASED AWARDS:
Financial need is a significant consideration for these awards. A Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Student Aid Form must be completed to be eligible for any need-based award. Saint Joseph Academy also uses information provided by PSAS to determine tuition assistance grants which range from $300 to $1,800 per student per year.
If you submit a PSAS form for consideration by Saint Joseph Academy, you will also be considered for tuition assistance by the Diocese of Cleveland. Catholic Education Endowment Trust Grants (CEET) are awarded each year by the Diocese. These renewable grants are awarded based on financial need and are announced by the Diocese in the spring of each year.
There are currently 12 types of need-based scholarships for incoming freshmen (Class of 2014). Provided below are brief descriptions of these scholarships.
