Nationally Recognized Scholars

Seven students from the Class of 2024 and two students from the Class of 2025 have been named with honors through the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

National Merit Commended Scholars

About 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. These Commended Scholars place among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

National Recognition Program Scholars

Each year the College Board National Recognition Program recognizes students who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have excelled on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10, or earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP® Exams; and are African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, and/or attend school in a rural area or small town. These students earn academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect them with universities across the country, helping them stand out during the admissions process and allowing them to apply for additional college scholarships.
