Students Learn About Upcycling at Canvus
On Monday, students from the Engineering & Design Honors Program, AP® Art and 3D Design attended a field trip to Canvus, a local upcycle company.
With a manufacturing facility located in Avon, Canvus upcycles retired wind turbine blades and other recycled materials into functional art such as benches, tables and planters. Students saw the entire manufacturing process from a retired turbine blade entering the facility on a flatbed truck to cutting to designings and then the final products.
