Congratulations to Zoë Schmidt '24, who took home the grand prize of a $20,000 scholarship and $5,000 anti-bias education grant for the Academy, and Abaeny Dek '24, who was awarded an honorable mention with a $1,000 cash prize and $500 grant for the Academy in the Maltz Museum’s 2024 Stop the Hate® Youth Speak Out Essay Contest.
Isabelle Ashcraft ’26 was recently selected to be a member of the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council. "I am so excited to have been accepted to the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council," Isabelle shared. "I have been involved in my Parish and youth group for years so being able to take this step into leadership is very important to me."
Saint Joseph Academy is proud to announce 31 students received Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are “the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.” Students receive awards based on “originality, skill and emergence of personal voice or vision.”
On Friday, March 8, the 45 students in the Concert Band performed in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 4 Large Group Adjudicated Event.
Accomplishments: Sofia was the top runner (team MVP) for the Cross Country team in the fall and also the top Freshman finisher in Division 1 at the State Cross Country Meet.
