We're not just an all-girls school, we're an all kinds of girls school.™
Ways to Give
In 1890, the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph had the vision to open an all-girl’s school to serve the young women of Cleveland, transforming them into compassionate leaders by providing a quality education deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition. We honor the visionary leadership of the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph by partnering with dedicated alumnae, parents and friends to secure the financial resources necessary for tuition assistance, operating and educational costs, and capital improvements.
Your financial support of Saint Joseph Academy ensures that the Academy can continue to empower young women from all facets of Cleveland to transform their communities – and our world – through a life of compassionate leadership and service. The need for financial aid will continue to grow as we strive to serve the needs of our socio-economically diverse student body.Gifts to the Annual Fundhelp us provide tuition assistance, as well as supporting our students’ educational and spiritual growth through our daily operations costs. Participation inAlumnae Events, Scholarships andEndowment Giftshelp us recruit and retain the young women desiring a Saint Joseph Academy education.Planned Gifts help ensure SJA’s legacy for decades to come.
Every gift to Saint Joseph Academy is important – no matter the size or amount. We are truly humbled and grateful for your support, and invite you to contact us if you have any questions, concerns or would like to schedule a visit and tour.
In 2015, Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. As a result, this law no longer has an expiration date so you are free to make annual gifts to Saint Joseph Academy from your IRA this year and well into the future.
Saint Joseph Academy provides two ways for donors to provide deserving young women with the gift of a Saint Joseph Academy education – Named Endowed Scholarships and the Saint Joseph Academy Scholarship Fund. All scholarship gifts are invested in the Saint Joseph Academy Scholarship Endowment Fund. Donations may be added to the principal of the scholarship at any time thereby increasing the amount of the awards that can be provided. There are also opportunities for Named Endowed Scholarship supporters to meet their scholars through annual events.
An alternative is a gift of appreciated securities/stock, which can provide increased tax benefits over an equivalent gift of cash, especially when the appreciated securities have been held for more than one year. If you are invested in this giving option, click on the "DTC Securities/Stock Transfer Instructions" download to the right or contact Vice President of Institutional Advancement Constance Sipple, CFRE, at 216.671.0166.
Celebrate a significant occasion - a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation – or the life of a loved one with a contribution to Saint Joseph Academy. Memorial and Honorary Gifts can also be designated for the establishment of an Endowed Scholarship to create a long-term impact on your loved one and the future Saint Joseph Academy students.
To keep a Saint Joseph Academy education affordable to as wide a range of families as possible, please consider including a gift to us in your overall estate and financial plans. These types of charitable arrangements let you support our mission far into the future, while also providing tax and other benefits to you.
