Saint Joseph Academy is committed to leading the way with technology. From our infrastructure to our classrooms, students have access to the most relevant systems and technology used in today’s universities and corporate environments. As part of this, each student has her own Chromebook laptop for learning and accessing resources both on and off campus, including access to the Saint Joseph Academy Student Portal.

Additionally, the Academy maintains several technology options for enriching students’ digital learning environment comprising of a wide range of creative technology tools for individual and class exploration, design, innovation and discovery.

    • Four Google Tilt Brush systems allowing students to create with brush strokes in a 3D virtual reality environment
    • A state-of-the-art Anatomage Table, with more than 1400 high resolution images, enabling students to dissect, visualize real human tissue and isolate areas of the human body
      • By utilizing and experiencing the hands-on Anatomage Table, Saint Joseph Academy students are exposed and prepared for college-level education, allowing them to stand out among their peers when applying to colleges/universities
      • Saint Joseph Academy is the first high school in Northeast Ohio to have this Table, technology that is typically found in medical programs at the collegiate level
    • A Makerspace innovation lab, where all students are welcome to create, invent and explore using a variety of materials and tools, as well as combine subject matter such as science, math, design, World Languages and English. It features 12 3D printers, two laser cutters/engravers, a router, a laser engraver, two vinyl cutters, digital cameras, a green screen and much more.

  • What is an Anatomage Table?

    The Anatomage Table, known as “the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system on the market,” is the latest technological tool to promote students’ learning.   • Chromebook Academy

    The Information Technology Department hosts Chromebook Academy online as a Google Classroom to help students become familiar with their Chromebook and prepare to use it as a learning tool. 

    Each new student will be assigned tasks during the online class, such as viewing the online Chromebook Academy presentation, reviewing Saint Joseph Academy Technology policies, and taking a brief quiz to show what they learned. Once complete, students, along with their parent/guardian, will sign-up for one of several days and time slots to receive their new Chromebook and sign the usage agreement. 

    There is also still a standard, live, Chromebook Academy Presentation, usually right after Freshmen Orientation.
