    Students Receive Tuition Assistance
We are aware of the many sacrifices that families make to send their daughters to Saint Joseph Academy and take great care each year to grant assistance to families in need. Accordingly, approximately 73% of our students receive scholarship awards or tuition assistance. Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year is $15,000. There is a $100 technology fee for Seniors, and a $125 technology fee for incoming Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors.

We work with each family to ensure that applying for tuition assistance and scholarships is as simple and seamless as possible. We realize that this process can feel overwhelming, so please feel welcome to contact us with your questions. You can also view our frequently asked questions below.

Tuition Assistance

A FACTS Grant & Aid Application must be completed to be eligible for a Saint Joseph Academy Tuition Assistance Award. FACTS, a third party vendor, evaluates all applications and establishes each family’s financial need. Saint Joseph Academy uses this information to determine its tuition assistance awards. Please complete the online FACTS application by November 15, 2019. Do not forget to submit copies of your 2018 federal income tax return and your W-2’s. The application is only available online, and the fee is $30.

  • Cleveland Scholarship Program and Ohio EdChoice Scholarship Program

The Cleveland Scholarship Program (CSP) and the Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program are funded by the State of Ohio and administered through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) office in Columbus. The CSP is only available to Cleveland residents. EdChoice is available to students assigned to under-performing public schools located throughout Ohio. The ODE Office determines who receives these awards. Applications for new awards will not be available until February 2020. Currently, the award for high school students is limited to $6,000. In most cases, the family is responsible for paying the tuition above this award amount. More information is available on the Ohio Department of Education website.
  • Diocesan Tuition Assistance

Students of Saint Joseph Academy may qualify for Diocesan Tuition Assistance (DTA) Grants from the Diocese of Cleveland. The same FACTS form is used to determine DTA grants. Notifications will be announced by the Diocese in May 2020.
  • Scholarships

Saint Joseph Academy awards a number of scholarships, ranging from $250-$7,500. Many of these scholarships are available through the generosity of our donors. In order to be considered for any scholarship, you must complete the “Saint Joseph Academy Common Scholarship Application – Class of 2024.”

Please note that depending upon the scholarship award,  scholarship recipients may be required to participate in various Advancement activities throughout the school year, including the Annual Fund Phone-A-Thon and Endowed Scholarship Luncheon.
