International Students

Please note that Saint Joseph Academy is a day school and does not provide housing for students, nor is financial assistance available for international students. International applicants must demonstrate that they have funds available to cover the cost of attendance and living expenses for the duration of their program at the Academy.

International Transfer Students (Students who will be entering 10th or 11th grade)
International students interested in transferring to Saint Joseph Academy should complete the Transfer Student Application and forward their school records, including standardized test scores, to the Saint Joseph Academy Admission Office. Please use our record release form, located in the right column on this page, to direct your school records to our Admissions Office. Applicants should complete this form and then forwarded it to their current head of school's office. All school records and all application materials must be officially translated to English. Once these documents have been received, the Director of Admission will contact the student to arrange an admission interview (Skype interviews are acceptable). If an applicant's first language is not English, the admission committee will require an adequate level of English proficiency to be determined case by case. Applicants may be required to take a standardized English proficiency exam and/or provide additional information such as course descriptions. The student's application is evaluated by the Admission Committee using the criteria as stated above. While we can be somewhat flexible with application deadlines, we strongly recommend that international transfer students apply by February 1 if they plan to transfer in the fall of that year to increase the timeliness of receiving an admission decision, transfer credit information, course registration information, and the issuance of an I-20 form.

International First-Year Students (Students who will be entering 9th grade)
International students who will be entering the 9th grade should complete the application for 8th Grade Applicants from Public and Private Elementary Schools and forward their school records, including standardized test scores, to the Saint Joseph Academy Admission Office. Please use our record release form, located in the right column on this page, to direct your school records to our Admissions Office.
