College Week Events for Students and Families
College Counseling is pleased to host their inaugural College Week leading up to the Wednesday, May 1 College Decision Day.
The goal is to involve all students and parents/guardians in the college planning process. Below are events for College Week.
College 101: Monday, April 29, 7 p.m., Auditorium: Are you and your daughter beginning to think about life after Saint Joseph Academy? College Counseling would like to help you begin thinking about post-secondary options. Parents/guardians and students are invited to "College 101," an introduction to planning for college years. This event is geared towards Freshmen and Sophomore students and parents/guardians. No RSVP required; questions can be emailed to College Counseling Department Chair Ms. Susan Emmerich.
College Panel: Tuesday, April 30, 7 p.m., Auditorium: CollegeCounseling will host a meeting for parents/guardians of the Class of 2020. A panel of local college representatives will discuss admission details to four different types of institutions. Please join Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Cincinnati and Xavier University for this informative session.
College Acceptance Day: Wednesday, May 1: The Class of 2019 will gather at the College Acceptances Wall and ceremonially place a Jaguar paw print sticker on the name of the college of their choice. This acknowledgment of college choices signifies the start of the Seniors' journey toward graduation. Seniors will be called down by homerooms to place their sticker on intended college or university. Seniors are encouraged to wear their college/university shirts that day.
