Congratulations, Class of 2019!

The 165 young women from the Class of 2019 enthusiastically accepted their diplomas at commencement on Tuesday, May 28.
Dressed in all white with beautiful bouquets of red roses in hand, the graduates began the memorable night by processing down Rocky River Drive from Saint Joseph Academy to Our Lady of Angels Church in the "Walk of the Roses," which began 76 years ago! The Seniors made it safely down Rocky River Drive for the Walk of the Roses before a huge storm swept into Cleveland (it even knocked out power for a few seconds during the Commencement ceremony). In the end, everyone managed to stay relatively dry (except for a few tears being shed).
Students were led by President Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis '71 and the Commencement speaker Maureen McCafferty Arbeznik '69, P'97, the 2018 Distinguished Alumna honoree. Mrs. Arbeznik encouraged students to "look at one's job as their vocation and their calling. Make sure your life's path reflects your passions. If you are lucky enough to find a vocation that makes you come alive, you'll work harder than you could ever imagine, breathing life-giving energy into everything you do."
The Valedictorian was Julia Hontaruk-Levko, the Salutatorian was Julia Patterson, Phi Beta Kappa was Cassie Van Etten and the Student Commencement speaker was Katy Zoller (granddaughter of Ellen Lewis Zoller '47). Congratulations, Class of 2019! We are thrilled for your accomplishments and cannot wait to see what your futures hold! Click here for more photos of the Walk of the Roses ceremony.
