164 young women from the Class of 2021 enthusiastically accepted their diplomas at commencement on Tuesday.
Dressed in all white with beautiful bouquets of red roses in hand, the graduates began the memorable night by processing down Rocky River Drive from Our Lady of Angels Church to Saint Joseph Academy in their "Walk of the Roses."
Students were led by President Mrs. Kathryn Purcell and the Commencement speaker, Distinguished Alumna and Board of Directors member Mrs. Rebecca Dessoffy Bennett '91.
Mrs. Bennett shared the seven keys to happiness, which included to "laugh a lot, look at the bright side, breathe, seek justice, remember the sisterhood of Saint Joseph Academy, practice forgiveness and let your faith guide you." She ended her inspiring speech with "2020 was the great pause. 2021 is the great revolution. The vaccine for hate is love. Remember that you are worthy of love."
The Valedictorian was Christina Logvynyuk, the Salutatorian was Katelyn Blouch, Phi Beta Kappa and Student Commencement Speaker was Jane Sessions.
Congratulations, Class of 2021! We are so proud of your accomplishments and cannot wait to see what your futures hold! Click here for more photos of the "Walk of the Roses" ceremony.
