Saint Joseph Academy is excited to offer a variety of summer camps where campers will explore, learn and create through hands-on learning.

Our summer camps teach new skills and provide tools that enable children to strengthen their minds and pursue their passions. This summer we are excited to offer a few new camps!

To complement our Varsity sports program, we are introducing a softball camp, as well as a sailing camp. For budding artists, there are two new visual art camps: “Working with the Masters” and “Art of Many Cultures.” Aspiring singers will enjoy our chorale camp and those that like to create and explore will use the equipment in our Makerspace innovation lab to design a range of projects.

Note: The Musical Theater camp is expected to return in the summer of 2019.

Students will experience a comprehensive curriculum that supports the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).

Camp LEAD

Saint Joseph Academy is proud to partner with The Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) again this year to offer an innovative youth leadership program. Camp LEAD: "The Amazing Chase" utilizes games and outdoor team activities to encourage healthy competition and collaboration. This day camp encourages campers to focus on cooperation, teamwork, effective communication strategies, time management and the art of personal leadership.

Just like in the hit television series
The Amazing Race, campers will be given daily team challenges that will help them learn to negotiate for success and gain valuable team points. Interactive challenges will stretch campers’ personal limits, educate, empower and equip them to take away the critical soft skills needed to become a leader in today’s world. A brand new Camp LEAD curriculum every year means campers can have four years of leadership development before they even begin high school. Turn potential into performance!

Camp LEAD utilizes indoor and team challenges to encourage healthy competition and collaboration with a focus on:
  • Team behaviors and team dynamics
  • Goal setting and time management
  • Communication skills
  • Decision making and problem-solving
  • Priorities and life balance
  • Positive attitude and self-talk
  • Recognizing the skills of an iconoclastic thinker
When: July 16-July 20, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost: $275 through March 31; $295 after March 31
