Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis was named President of Saint Joseph Academy in July 2006. With her strong business background and a deep understanding of the Academy’s traditions and mission, Mary Ann brings a unique combination to her role. She is particularly interested in expanding the global perspective of the more than 700 young women students, due to her extensive international experience. She is a previous member of the board of directors and twice served as board chair for her alma mater. Mary Ann earned her B.A. degree at John Carroll University in 1975 and her M.S.M. degree from CWRU in 1976. Mary Ann earned a diplôme from the Sorbonne while studying abroad during her undergraduate education.

For 27 years Mary Ann worked at American Greetings Corporation, starting as a sales representative and rising to Senior Vice President. Among her various roles, she managed the company’s operations in Australia and New Zealand while living overseas and was later Senior Vice President of International Operations, responsible for all business operations outside the U.S. and Canada.

She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage and the Fairview Hospital Community Advisory Board. Her previous board experience includes Saint Ignatius High School, John Carroll University, The Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, In Counsel with Women, and as mentioned, Saint Joseph Academy.

In 2015, Mary Ann was named a “Woman of Note” by Crain’s Cleveland Business. The honor is given to community leaders who illustrate strength, success and fortitude in successful and varied careers. That same year Mary Ann was also featured in The Plain Dealer’s “My Cleveland” feature.

In addition, Mary Ann has been honored as a distinguished alumna by both Saint Joseph Academy and John Carroll University. Other honors include the 2002 Greater Cleveland YWCA Women of Achievement award, the 2003 Irish American Archives Society Walks of Life award, the 2004 Rainmaker by Northern Ohio Live magazine, the 2007 Athena Award from Athena International, the Lifetime Achievement Award from American Greetings Corporation in 2007, and The Irish Voice’s prestigious “Irish Education 100" list for 2011. Mary Ann is a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2008. She and her husband Ed Davis have been married 31 years.
