Saint Joseph Academy proudly announces nine students in the Class of 2018 were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that Saint Joseph Academy Senior Audrey Kunathl has advanced to the Finals in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. In addition, eight Saint Joseph Academy seniors were named National Merit Commended Students: Maria Alamir, Ingrid Cheung, Lily Gabriel, Kiera Reilly, Nell Simons, Emily Sonby, Claudia Stephens and Abbigail Votaw

Both NMSC honors continue Saint Joseph Academy’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence through the National Merit Program. Commended Students are among the top five percent of the 1.6 million students who entered the 2018 competition by taking the PSAT/NMSQT®. National Merit Semifinalists are among the top one percent.

The students’ academic and extracurricular activity achievements are a testament to their determination, as well as the support of their families and teachers. In addition to their hard work in the classroom, these young women exemplify the Character of an SJA graduate as they strive to "serve the dear neighbor" through their countless hours of community service. Congratulations to these young ladies for receiving these selective honors!
