For the second year in a row, Saint Joseph Academy will partner with the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Rocky River to host the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. This dynamic leadership program empowers students to make a difference through action and helps them grow in their leadership skills.
Fifteen students from Grades 10-12 were selected for the program. Congratulations to Sophomores Alexy Actis, Chloe Basilone, Cionnie Broadus, Agnes Butler, Ruby Satanek and Elizabeth Siefker; Juniors Magdalene Bush, Beatrice Novatny, Joelle Puni, Isabella Roman, Yunielis Vargas and Meredith Weisenseel; and Seniors Ava Hendry, Cassidy Stalla, Jaime Stutzman. Five students who participated in the program last year will serve as mentors. These students are Megan Doubler ’27, Annie Gilbride ’27, Brigid Hyland ’26, Emily Johnson ’27 and Ella Schneider ’27.
This week, the moderators, Math Teacher Mrs. Shannon McVay '04 and Health & Physical Education Teacher Mrs. Christina Actis helped students kick off this year’s program by participating in the 1 million book giveaway service project that will benefit local charities, elementary schools and non-profit organizations in the area.
