Kathryn Purcell Named Next President of Saint Joseph Academy

The Saint Joseph Academy Search Committee worked diligently to find the right person to succeed Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis '71 as president.
After their discernment, the Committee recommended to the Board of Directors the candidate they felt possessed the skills and traits necessary for this very important position.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Saint Joseph Academy is pleased to announce that Mrs. Kathryn Purcell will be the Academy's next president. Mrs. Purcell is more than familiar with strong leadership in an all-girls educational environment. She joins Saint Joseph Academy after a 24-year tenure at Laurel School, most recently as the Associate Head of School. Previously, Mrs. Purcell served in various leadership, administrative, teaching and coaching positions.

Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis remains as president through the remainder of the school year. She and Kathryn Purcell will have time to work together over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition. Kathryn is starting to integrate into our community and we look forward to getting to know her and helping her transition.
Saint Joseph Academy's Board of Directors and the Search Committee thank everyone for their support and contribution to this process.
