Fitzmaurice Hall Renovations Nearly Complete; Makerspace Innovation Lab Currently Under Construction

This month has brought with it exciting transformations on the campus of Saint Joseph Academy!
The final touches are being completed at Fitzmaurice Hall and some staff have already moved into this historic building. Soon, the additional 28,000 square feet and 10 new classrooms for the Theology/CORE Ministry and Social Studies departments will be officially ready. Brick pavers, lighting and landscaping have been installed around the newly updated St. Joseph Circle. This historic building gives us the unexpected blessing of more space as we plan for the upcoming school year and additional distancing requirements in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that the CORE and Social Studies classrooms have moved to Fitzmaurice Hall, the entire west wing third floor of the Academy building is currently under construction (see above photo) to create an expanded and redesigned Makerspace innovation lab this summer. This expanded space creates a larger hands-on area for students to activate their imaginations and bring their ideas to life to show them that the sky's the limit for young women in the STEAM fields. We hope you will check our website soon or follow us on our social media channels to see the transformation taking place!
