Summer Programs Offer Girls In-Person Opportunities to Learn, Lead and Explore

Saint Joseph Academy is pleased to have been able to once again offer a variety of action-packed summer programs.
These programs allowed many girls in grades 3-9 to be on our campus again, learning and engaging in hands-on activities with faculty/staff and current students.

One new program, M*A*S*H (Medical Applications of Science and Health) inspired middle school girls to help others through the Health Sciences. Participants created clay heart models to learn the functions of the heart and explored various health-related exercises. These exercises included experiencing our Anatomage Table, “the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system on the market,” which enables students to dissect, visualize real human tissue and isolate areas of the human body at the simple touch of a finger. Campers also learned the basics of CPR, practiced sutures on a fake wound and created strands of DNA out of candy.
