Alumna, Cleveland.com’s New Columnist Continues to Help Others

Recently, Nancy Kelsey '00 was announced as one of cleveland.com’s new community columnists. In the article, "Striving to be of service to others, as Cleveland’s daughter -- and as a new columnist: Nancy Kelsey," Nancy shares her background as an individual growing up in Cleveland with ties to the Anishinaabek tribe and El Salvadorian roots.
She is looking forward to using this column to show her unique connection to the Great Lakes region and her love of the city of Cleveland as well as use it as a platform to help others through stories.

Nancy also shared her story firsthand with the Saint Joseph Academy students who are involved with the Jaguar Beat student newspaper, yearbook and Calliope the Academy’s creative magazine. “I loved meeting with Ms. Kelsey, because it helped answer so many questions I had about possible career/college choices in my future. She has used her experience in journalism and communications to pursue many different careers that spark my interest. Meeting someone who has succeeded and continues to grow in a field I want to pursue made me feel more confident about my future,” shared Theresa Heffernan '24 (granddaughter of Barbara Thompson Heffernan ‘55).

We are so proud of Nancy and how she continues to be a compassionate leader in a global society!
