Thank You for Making “Celebrate the Academy” A Huge Success!

The Academy Center was abuzz as our annual “Celebrate the Academy” gala returned to in person after being held virtually last year.
The evening was filled with performances by our student musicians and singers transporting us to different parts of the globe in celebration of this year’s theme “A World of Opportunity.” Gabriella Kreuz ’10 and Bob Hale emceed this tour de force.

As part of the evening’s events, we honored two outstanding women and their contributions to both the Academy and beyond. Patty Gaul ’76 was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Award, an honor given to a graduate who personifies the charism of the Congregation of St. Joseph through leadership and service. Patty’s work at the Playhouse Square foundation along with her involvement in various charitable and civic organizations showcases her dedication to her city, the arts and servant leadership. Tari S. Rivera, former Academy Board Chair and friend of the Academy was awarded the Medaille Shield Award for outstanding service. This award recognizes her dedication to educating young women in the field of engineering and her key role in the readaptation of Fitzmaurice Hall and the renovations of the Howley Makerspace innovation lab.

Through the many generous supporters, we raised more than $300,000 net support of tuition assistance and academic initiatives at Saint Joseph Academy! We are incredibly grateful for all of our sponsors, guests, donors and volunteers who made this incredible event possible. Special thanks to Adventure Sponsors retired Saint Joseph Academy president Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis ’71 and the Draves Family P’12.

Gracias! Merci! Grazie! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate these amazing women and support this wonderful event. It was truly a night to remember.
