Julia Olle '23

Accomplishments: Julia has participated in the Academy’s Theater Program for the past four years. For the past two years, she has served as a costume crew leader helping to assign jobs, create schedules, organize the costume room and recruit new members to the program.
“Growing up, I was always around the theater at SJA with my sister participating in the shows and my parents leading STArts,” Julia shared. “When I became a student here, my sister inspired me to audition for the fall play and was cast. While I had a lot of fun on stage, I found that I was more interested in what was going on backstage. I really enjoyed contributing to the show in such a unique way with the costumes. I loved whenever we had a super fast quick change, pulling it off and then seeing the impact it made on the show.”

Julia shared a favorite memory from the Spring 2022 production of Cinderella, "The quick change in Cinderella was so stressful, but I always loved seeing the audience's reaction when she came on stage in a ballgown in less than 30 seconds."

Activities and Interests: Besides Costume Crew, at Saint Joseph Academy, Julia is an Academy Ambassador, co-leader of Film Club, as well as a member of French Club, Glamour Gals, National Honor Society and Shelter Helpers. Last summer, Julia participated in the Kermit, West Virginia service trip.

Future Career Interests: In the fall, Julia will attend Xavier University to study Psychology. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Counseling.
