Allison Busser ’04 - MedWish International Donates Supplies to Refugees
Former Saint Joseph Academy Alumnae Director Allison Busser ’04 is already doing amazing things in her new position as Director of Development at MedWish International, a not-for-profit organization that saves lives and the environment by repurposing discarded medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid to people in need.
Recently featured in a Cleveland 19 News segment, Allie shared how MedWish is donating nearly 3 tons of medical supplies to Ukrainian refugees. She saw an opportunity to engage students from her alma mater in this effort. She invited students from both the Health Sciences Honors Program and Global Program to work alongside MedWish employees to sort medical supplies and personal hygiene items that were later packaged and shipped to Ukraine and Eastern Europe refugees.
