Please note that the application process is different for students attending Catholic middle schools than students attending private/public middle schools.
All applications and records are due to the Saint Joseph Academy Admission Office by 3 p.m. on January 24, 2020.
Saint Joseph Academy's Admission Committee reviews all applications to determine which students meet the Academy’s admissions criteria.
You may be contacted to set up an Admission interview upon receipt of your application.
Admission decision letters will be mailed out February 12, 2020.
Is your daughter applying from a Catholic School?
Students currently attending Catholic middle schools follow the Diocesan policy.
Application forms will be distributed on January 13, 2020 by Diocesan elementary schools.
Those interested in attending Saint Joseph Academy must indicate Saint Joseph Academy as their first choice on the application form.
These forms, along with the student’s records, are forwarded to the Saint Joseph Academy Admission Office by the applicant’s school.
Applicants who indicate Saint Joseph Academy as their first choice high school but are not accepted will be automatically forwarded to their second choice school.
Is your daughter applying from a Public or Private Elementary School?
Students from public/private schools need to download the Application for Admission.
The applicant's parents/guardians must download the Records Release Form and forward the form to their daughter's current principal so records may be released to Saint Joseph Academy.
Following application, the student's information is reviewed using the same criteria stated above. If acceptance of a particular student is in question, her school may be contacted for a recommendation prior to the final decision.
Saint Joseph Academy welcomes applications from female international students. Prospective international students and their families should contact Director of Admissiono Mrs. Diana Fogarty at firstname.lastname@example.org to review the application process and English proficiency requirements.
International students interested in transferring to Saint Joseph Academy should complete the Transfer Student Application and forward their school records, including standardized test scores, to the Saint Joseph Academy Admission Office. Please use our record release form to direct your school records to our Admission Office. Applicants should complete this form and then forward it to their current head of school's office. All school records and application materials must be officially translated to English. Once these documents have been received, the Director of Admission will contact the student to arrange an admission interview (Skype interviews are acceptable). If an applicant's first language is not English, the Admission Committee will require an adequate level of English proficiency to be determined case-by-case. Applicants may be required to take a standardized English proficiency exam and/or provide additional information such as course descriptions. The student's application is evaluated by the Admission Committee using the criteria as stated above. While we can be somewhat flexible with application deadlines, we strongly recommend that international transfer students apply by February 1 if they plan to transfer in the fall of that year. This will increase the timeliness of receiving an admission decision, transfer credit information, course registration information and the issuance of an I-20 Form.
