Cost of Tuition for 2025-2026
We are aware of the many sacrifices that families make to send their daughters to Saint Joseph Academy and take great care each year to grant assistance to families in need. Accordingly, approximately 80% of our students receive scholarship awards or tuition assistance. Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $19,150 plus an additional $175 technology fee and a $100 registration fee.
For some, the process of applying for tuition assistance and scholarships can feel overwhelming. This is why we work with each family to ensure the process is as simple and seamless as possible. Please see SJA Tuition Assistance for more information.

For current 8th-grade girls entering high school, most schools, including Saint Joseph Academy, use the “early form” with a November due date. This allows Saint Joseph Academy to provide an estimated tuition assistance and scholarship award to potential incoming 9th-graders by late December before your daughter must indicate her first-choice high school on the Diocesan high school admission application.
Saint Joseph Academy uses the same "early form" for all of its students, but each school sets its own deadline and requirements. You should follow up with the other schools for their deadlines and to inquire if updated tax returns are required.
Yes. There is a question that allows you to indicate any reductions in income and to provide additional information, such as current paystubs and a narrative explanation. In these circumstances, the Finance Office will revise the student need calculation based upon current family income. If additional information or further clarification is needed, we will contact you directly.
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) provides funding through the Cleveland Scholarship, EdChoice Traditional Scholarship, EdChoice Expansion Scholarship and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Programs. Saint Joseph Academy participates in the Diocesan Tuition Assistance Program. The Diocese also uses the FACTS Grant & Aid Application to determine their awards, which may vary by high school. You only have to complete the form once. These awards are announced in late May of each year.
The FACTS Grant & Aid Application takes into consideration several factors, including income, certain assets, family size and number of children in tuition-charging schools, so there is no set minimum or maximum income that can be shared that would apply to all.
Saint Joseph Academy offers a sibling discount for sisters attending at the same time. The second daughter receives a $500 discount. The third daughter receives a $2,000 discount.
