Faith Formation

Saint Joseph Academy provides students with many opportunities to grow in their faith, recognize the importance of God in their lives and understand the impact they can make in the lives of our dear neighbors in Cleveland and beyond.

Rooted in the spirituality of the Congregation of St. Joseph

Saint Joseph Academy shares in the charism of the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph, whose mission is to “live and work to bring all people into union with God, each other and all of creation. Unity. Reconciliation . . . that all may be one” (John 17:21). A constant throughout the Academy’s history has been the spiritual influence of the founding Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph who celebrate 375 years of ministry in 2025 (1650-2025).

Maxim Monday

From the time of their Founding in 1650 to the present day, the Sisters of St. Joseph have been guided by the Maxims of the Little Institute, which were written by their spiritual mentor, Fr. Jean-Pierre Medaille, S.J. The Maxims provide challenging yet practical wisdom for daily life. Each Monday, Vice President of Mission Dr. Jessica Wrobleski shares a Maxim and a reflection in light of events in and around our school. Maxim Monday offers an opportunity to take a moment to reflect and pray as the week begins.

Dr. Jessica Wrobleski

Vice President of Mission

I am honored to serve as a representative of the Congregation of St. Joseph at Saint Joseph Academy. After completing my PhD in theology, I taught at the college level for ten years before becoming an Associate member of the Congregation because I was drawn to the Sisters’ mission of inclusive, unifying love and care for all creation. This commitment brought me to SJA in 2019, where I work with students, faculty and staff, school administration, alumnae, parents and the Board of Directors on a variety of programs and initiatives related to our CSJ mission. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning more about the Congregation of St. Joseph or have questions related to our SJA mission.
