Building Success in the Classroom and Beyond

For some students academic success comes rather easily. Other students may struggle with a specific topic at times during a semester, and others may struggle with foundational skills year-round. Regardless of the type of support needed or how often it is needed, the Student Support Services offered at Saint Joseph Academy are designed to help students feel comfortable asking for strategies and feedback, to take pride in helping each other, learn how to evaluate and make adjustments, as well as recognize growth and achievement.

  • Makerspace Innovation Lab

    This collaborative space is where all students are encouraged to create, invent and explore using a variety of materials and tools, as well as combine subject matter such as science, math, design, World Languages and English. Its features include 14 3D printers, two laser cutters/engravers, a router, two vinyl cutters, digital cameras, a green screen and much more.
  • Anatomage Table

    The Anatomage Table, known as “the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system on the market,” is the latest technological tool to promote students’ learning. The Anatomage Table enables our students to dissect, visualize real human tissue and isolate areas of the human body at the simple touch of a finger.

    By utilizing the Anatomage Table, Saint Joseph Academy students are exposed to a college-level education, allowing them to stand out among their peers when applying to colleges and universities. Saint Joseph Academy was the first high school in Northeast Ohio with this state-of-the-art Anatomage Table.
  • Creative Technology Tools

    As a learning institute, the Academy maintains many technology tools that enrich students’ digital learning environment, comprising of a wide range of creative technology tools for individual and class exploration, design, innovation and discovery, including: 
    • 50 iMacs with the full Creative Cloud Suite
    • 25 MacBook Pros for classroom projects
    • 25 MacBook Pros for long-term loan to students
    • 4 Google Tilt Brush Systems that allow students to create with brush strokes in a 3D virtual reality environment
  • Classroom Collaboration Tools

    Each classroom features the latest technology in interactive SMART Boards, providing access to online resources and integrating with other technology. 

    In addition, Global teleconferencing equipment for collaboration around the world as part of the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC).
  • Nazareth Library

    The award-winning Nazareth Library is home to an abundance of online resources that can be accessed anytime needed. In addition, more than 7,000 eBooks, technology and DVDs are available to students.
  • Chromebook Academy

    Chromebook Academy is online training through Google Classroom that is designed to familiarize new students with their Chromebook laptop. During the training, students will have various assignments, such as watching a presentation or reading Saint Joseph Academy technology policies. When the training is complete, students will be asked to sign up for one of the days and times offered for Chromebook pick up. At the time of pick up, the Chromebook usage agreement will be signed by each student and her parent/guardian.
