Accomplishments: Julia has been named a Commended Scholar through the 2024 National Merit® Scholarship Program.
“To me, being named a Commended Scholar means that I have been very lucky to have parents and teachers who care about me and my education,” Julia shared. “I am so grateful to all of them for their support and everything they have taught me.”
About 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Scholars place among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
Julia has earned academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect her with universities across the country, helping her stand out during the admissions process and allowing her to apply for additional college scholarships.

Activities and Interests: At Saint Joseph Academy, Julia is involved in The Academy Chorale, Academy Inclusion Club, Book Club, is a leadership member of SJA Girl Up and Stage Crew.
Future Career Plans: Julia is still deciding on her major in college.
