Her father was an inspiration to her. “I watched my dad do theater all the time, and I really wanted to be like him,” Poppy shared. “We auditioned together for Titanic: The Musical together and it was so much fun.”

Poppy has been in the last three musicals and two plays at the Academy. She shared the following about the Academy’s Theater Program: “My favorite part about the SJA Theater Program is the people. I love performing more than anything, but it wouldn't be special if I didn't have my directors, castmates and crew. Some of my closest friends I have met through SJA’s theater…The experiences I've had in this program are so special to me, and I will cherish them the rest of my life.”

Activities and Interests: In addition to participating in theater at Saint Joseph Academy, Poppy is a member of The Academy Chorale and Concert Band.

What is your favorite part about being a member of the Saint Joseph Academy community?: “My favorite part about being a member here at SJA is the people I am surrounded with,” Poppy shared. “I have absolutely wonderful friends who make every day so special here, and I wouldn't want it any other way.”

Future Career Plans: Poppy is considering a major in wildlife biology/conservation or a zoology field. “Animals have been a very important part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it's been a dream of mine to help them,” Poppy shared.
