Is offering the Horatio Alger Scholarship to provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out Contest
Calling all Northeast Ohio 6-12th graders, educators, and parents! The 11th Annual Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out Contest kicks off with a launch event at the Maltz Museum. Each year students and schools are awarded $100,000 in scholarships and anti-bias education grants by reflecting on real life situations and sharing ways to create a more inclusive community. Join us at 4:30 p.m. to hear last year’s winners read their essays and get tips on the process for writing and presenting, followed by Q&A. Plus, take a self-guided tour of the Museum’s core exhibition, An American Story. Pizza will be served.

Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland is again offering scholarship opportunities for qualified high school seniors who will be enrolling in The Ohio State University for the 2019 fall semester. Our offerings include two (2) $2500 scholarships, renewable for up to four (4) years of undergraduate work, along with a few single year scholarships. 

We have revised our application procedure - applications can now be emailed to the Club from the students without need for guidance office approval, except for discretionary letter(s) of reference if a student requests such support. 

The application can be downloaded from our Alumni Club's website as a Word document. 

The completed application should be emailed, along with the required support documentation, to by Friday, January 18, 2019. Other relevant information is provided on the application form.  

West Shore Rotary Club (2019 High School Graduating Senior)
$1,500 College Scholarship Application
Deadline: Friday, April 12, 2019 

For 2019 the West Shore Rotary Club will grant $1,500 Rotary Scholarships to Fairview High School, North Olmsted High School, John Marshall High School, and St. Joseph’s Academy graduating seniors who plan to attend a post-secondary college or university. One scholarship per high school.

Note: This application must be submitted with a short essay (300 words max.) on the following subject: “Why mankind should be everybody’s business.”

Michigan State University Scholarship
Michigan State University Wants Ohio Students. Students have the opportunity to receive a minimum of $10,000 through the Michigan State University Ohio Spartan Grant.

This grant is automatically awarded to Ohio residents who are admitted to Michigan State University. The MSU application and required essay is sufficient for awarding consideration.

Grant recipients may also be eligible for additional merit-based scholarships at MSU. Applicants are encouraged to apply by November 1 for maximum scholarship consideration.

Ursuline College: Merit-Based Scholarships
Did you know that Ursuline College has new merit scholarships available to all admitted first-year students?

We are excited to share that Ursuline College will be awarding merit scholarships to all admitted students for Fall 2019!

These scholarships range from $13,000 to $21,500 and will automatically renew as long as the student remains in good academic standing. Click here to see how much you qualify for. 

In order to qualify, your student simply needs to complete their application to Ursuline! There is no application fee, and students can apply online at or through the Common Application. 

Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling Charles L. Warren Memorial Heritage Scholarship 2019 
The Charles L. Warren Memorial Heritage Scholarship is awarded by the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling each year to outstanding high school seniors. The scholarship is a one-time $1,500 award.

BGSU Scholarships
Students admitted to the CoB for Fall 2018 who attend a Faculty Ambassador school are automatically eligible to receive Faculty Ambassador scholarships in October, November and December. The BizBrigade was out in early November presenting lucky students with their $2,000 scholarships.

Twelve more scholarships will be awarded (4 in November @$1500 each, 8 in December @ $1,000 each) to admitted students from Faculty Ambassador schools.

Lake Forest Scholarship
We are thrilled to share that our first-ever Forester Scholars Weekend, a full-tuition scholarship competition for qualified and admitted students, will take place on March 24-March 25. 

Participating students will compete for one of 10 full-tuition scholarships. Students will be evaluated by faculty members as part of an academic session during the event. Faculty recommendations along with the application for admission will be used to determine scholarship recipients. No student will leave empty handed as all participants will receive an additional $8,000 scholarship — $2,000 given annually over four years. 

This is an invitation-only event and students must apply by January 15, 2019 to be considered. Given that a handful of your students are most likely aiming to complete their applications by the holidays, we wanted to send you this friendly reminder about our event in hopes that you will pass the information on to any prospective students. 
Ohio News Media Foundation (ONMF)  is a non-profit foundation of the Ohio News Media Association, offering a $1,500 scholarship for minority high school seniors in Ohio who plan major journalism, advertising, marketing or communications degree programs at an accredited college or university within the United States for the 2019-2020 academic year.
