Mrs. Cheryl Arnold

Marketing Communications Director
Mrs. Cheryl Arnold joins us as Marketing Communications Director. Mrs. Arnold has worked in communications and government relations for the past eleven years, most notably for the City of Avon Lake’s water and sewer department (Avon Lake Regional Water) and the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). She is an avid writer who brings strong writing and editing skills. Mrs. Arnold received her bachelor of arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science from The University of Iowa and her juris doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. 

Mr. Daniel Bambeck

Mathematics Teacher
Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics, Villanova University; Master of Science in Physics, Montana State University

Mr. Bambeck earned his teaching certification in Secondary Education Mathematics and Physics from the Ohio Intensive Pedagogical Training Institute (IPTI) at The Ohio State University. He previously taught Mathematics at Parma Community High School and Physics as an Adjunct Professor at Cuyahoga Community College.

Mrs. Jennifer Bruesewitz

English Teacher
Bachelor of Science in Education, Ohio University; Master of Education, George Mason University

Mrs. Bruesewitz has spent most of her teaching career in Virginia before recently returning to Cleveland. She previously taught at Washington-Liberty High School in Arlington, Virginia. Mrs. Bruesewitz earned an Endorsement in Gifted Education from The College of William & Mary. 

Miss Hannah Cooper

Prior to joining Saint Joseph Academy, Ms. Cooper provided tutoring and student services work within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District to refugee students from Uganda and Syria. Ms. Cooper earned a bachelor of science in Early Childhood Education from Cleveland State University. 

Ms. Hannah Hill

Alumnae Director
Hannah Hill ’16 has returned to her alma mater as Alumnae Director. Ms. Hill received her bachelor of science in Business Administration and master of arts in Nonprofit Administration from John Carroll University. She also served as the Graduate Assistant for the Nonprofit Administration Program at JCU where she supported the needs of both the department and director and served as representative of the department at all community events. The role also provided her the opportunity to cultivate relationships with alumni of the program through a variety of events.

Mrs. Susan Hren

College Counselor 
Mrs. Hren joins us from Notre Dame College, where she served as Assistant Registrar and the College Credit Plus Advisor. Previously, Mrs. Hren served as a College Counselor at Saint Martin de Porres High School. She earned a bachelor of science in English Language and American Literature and a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.

Mr. R.J. Moore

Building Monitor
Mr. Moore was a member of the U.S. military for over six years and has worked in government and private security for over 20 years. He also owns his own insurance agency. Mr. Moore has two daughters, one that graduated from the Class of 2022 and another that is a member of the Class of 2026.  

Ms. Minzhi Peng

Mandarin Chinese Teacher
Bachelor and Master in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, Hunan Normal University; Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Cleveland State University

Ms. Peng comes to Saint Joseph Academy from Shaker Heights High School. Prior to Shaker Heights High School, Ms. Peng previously taught at Chonburi “Sukkhabot” School in Thailand and at Hunan Normal University in China.   

Mrs. Hilary Watts

Music Education Teacher
Bachelor of Music, Bowling Green State University; Master of Music, Kent State University

Mrs. Watts has extensive experience as a choir director and choreographer for area high school productions. She previously served as Music Teacher at Ruffing Montessori School in Rocky River and the Children’s Choir Director at Rocky River Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Rebecca Willard

Human Resources Director
Mrs. Rebecca Willard joins us as Director of Human Resources. Rebecca has worked as the Director of Finance and Human Resources for St. Paul Westlake Church & School for the past five and a half years. Prior to that role, she worked at KeyBank. Working with both employees and volunteers in her roles, Mrs. Willard values teamwork and collaboration in service to the mission of the organization. In addition to her professional experiences, she has taken on numerous volunteer roles and participated in service opportunities in her communities. Mrs. Willard possesses the necessary skills and experiences to make a strong impact in our community and to be successful in her work. Her daughter will also join our community as a member of the Class of 2026.  

Ms. Nicole Zagaria ’93

Housekeeping Assistant
Ms. Zagarila comes to Saint Joseph Academy from the Congregation of St. Joseph. Ms. Zagarila has two daughters who attend Saint Joseph Academy, Maiya ’23 and Alaina ’26.
