Alumna Part of First All-Women Team to Complete the Infinity Loop at Mount Rainier

Alex Borsuk Hasenohr '07, a 2018 "25 Under 35" honoree, and her friend Kaytlyn Gerbin are the first women to complete the Infinity Loop at Mount Rainier.
"The Infinity Loop takes you to the top of Mount Rainier twice and once around the Wonderland Trail. It is completed in the shape of an infinity loop, covering 135+ miles and 47,000 feet of elevation gain around Mt Rainier National Park." It takes most people three to four days to summit Mt. Rainier once and 10-14 days to hike the Wonderland Trail. The duo summited twice and ran the entire trail (plus some) in a mere four days (all self-supported).

"I was raised by strong women, went to an amazing all-girls school and was surrounded by mostly women in both my undergraduate and graduate programs," Alex shared in her Instagram post reflecting on the achievement. "Throughout the years, I've learned that there's just a certain, special type of power that strong women harness when working together and supporting one another, and that strength cannot be beat."
