"Celebrate the Academy" Gala Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed!

Saint Joseph Academy’s most anticipated annual event, “Celebrate the Academy” gala will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
This event brings together students, parents/guardians, alumnae and friends to celebrate our special community. As the largest fundraiser for the Academy, it raises critical dollars to support tuition assistance, academic initiatives and scholarships. The special evening features Live and Silent Auctions, an elegant meal and open bar, as well as the opportunity to mingle with friends and supporters of the Academy.
Each year the Advancement Department seeks out parents/guardians of our students to help plan and execute the event. The evening could not be a success without the talent, experience and hard work of our dedicated volunteers. We hope you consider volunteering this year! Serving as a volunteer to help plan “Celebrate the Academy” enriches your experience while supporting your daughter’s education.
Event volunteers will assist in the following areas:
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas for the decor of the evening based on the theme
  • Silent Auction procurement (soliciting local businesses, picking up donations, etc.)
  • Program advertisements (calling local businesses to follow-up)
  • Set up in the days leading up to and the day of the event
  • Recruiting donors and guests to support this important event
Please join us for the Volunteer Kick Off Meeting on Thursday, September 17, 6 p.m. on the ground floor Conrad Family Commons in Fitzmaurice Hall. Tours and a social gathering will follow.
RSVP by Monday, September 14 to Development Coordinator Mrs. Carolyn Conway Novak ’06.
This event may move to a virtual format if necessary.
