All-School Testing Day: Wednesday, October 13

Wednesday, October 13 is an all-school testing day at Saint Joseph Academy.
Students in Grades 9, 10 and 11 will take standardized assessments (outlined below) while the Class of 2022 will use this day for college planning.

The Class of 2025 will be taking the PreACT, which simulates the ACT testing experience. The PreACT score and predicted ACT score ranges align to the ACT 1-36 scale. Subjects include English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. The test also includes an Interest Inventory. The results of the Interest Inventory will give students a personalized view of interests with college and career alignment.

The Class of 2024 and 2023 will be taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). The Juniors taking the PSAT/NMSQT and meeting published entry requirements, may enter the National Merit Scholarship Program conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The PSAT/NMSQT assessment measures the reading, writing and language, and math skills students need for college. After the test, students will receive feedback on how ready they are for college, career and for AP® courses.

Counselors will meet with all students to explain and review test formats and scoring. When the test results arrive, counselors will meet again with students to interpret their individual scores.

There will be early dismissals for the grades testing. Below are the approximate dismissal times for your daughter so please arrange transportation accordingly. Please note that the Dining Hall will be closed on all school testing day.
  • The Class of 2025 will be dismissed at approximately 11:30 a.m.
  • The Classes of 2024 and 2023 will be dismissed at 12 p.m.
At Saint Joseph Academy, we believe it is important to measure academic development to make certain that all students are prepared for each step along their educational journey. Please encourage your daughter to come well rested and prepared to do her best on Wednesday, October 13.
