Four Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

We are thrilled to announce that four members of the Class of 2022 have been named Semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) Program: Betsy Gerrity, Erika Klosinski, Jess Kowalski and Morgan Rudolph.
With this honor, these four students now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit® Scholarships worth nearly $30 million that will be offered next spring.
Betsy, Erika, Jess and Morgan competed with 1.5 million students from 22,000 high schools nationwide who took the PSAT/NMSQT®, the initial screen for National Merit Semifinalists. The nationwide pool of semifinalists, represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.
In making the announcement, Principal Jeff Sutliff congratulated these individuals on their incredible milestone: "Although testing is only one part of the larger educational equation at Saint Joseph Academy, the PSAT/NMSQT is known for showcasing the best and brightest in our country. This recognition will help broaden educational opportunities and we are very proud of all four of these students' accomplishments."
