JaguarBots Compete at Firestone Tournament

The VEX Robotics Team (JaguarBots) competed last Saturday at the Firestone High School Tournament.
The Jaguars entered five teams - a school record - in the tournament that included 47 competing teams from high schools across Northeast Ohio.

The JaguarBots teams had a great day of competition, resulting in finishes in 9th, 26th, 28th, 30th and 43rd places. Those qualifying results lead to three of our teams qualifying for the championship round of 32.

In addition to great competition results, the team of Tess Lorek '22, Melinda Savio '22, Karen Kmiecik '23 and Coral Riegler '23 were given two awards: the Judges Award for excellence in their design process and evidence of strong teamwork in their judges' interview. The team of Alexia Glaros '23, Lily Kuebler '23, Maggie Quinn '23 and Libby Reyes '23 were given the Build Award for a well-crafted and constructed robot. Congratulations, ladies!
