Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph and Community Members Join in Season of Creation Prayer Service

Last Friday, six students gathered at the St. Joseph Center with Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph for a prayer service for the Season of Creation.
The Season of Creation which began on Friday, September 1, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and will end on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Wednesday, October 4, is a time for Christians worldwide to reflect and renew our relationship with God and all of Creation.

During the prayer service, Brianna Almasy ’24 read a poem by Langston Hughes and Rachel Garlock ’24 read Psalm 36: 5-9. Jazlyn Stanton ’24, Julia Serdinak ’24, Katie McGreal ’27, and Alyana Stephens ’27 took turns pouring water into a bowl to symbolize preserving the beauty of Earth.
