Artwork Selected for the OAEA Emerging Artist Exhibition
The Academy is proud to announce the following students’ artwork was selected for the 2024 Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) Exhibition: Abigail Vasek ’26, Mary Grace Romanchek ’26, Audrey Schilens ’25, Emily Johnson ’27, Megan Sandy ’26, Martina Maline ’26, Daniela Candelaria-Luna ’26, Paige Frei ’27, Joelle Puni ’27, Eloise Nottingham ’27 and Mia Strauss ’26.
“The Emerging Artist show is a great opportunity for young artists to have their work recognized beyond the classroom,” Visual Arts Teacher and Department Chair Mrs. Tammy Sparks shared. “The students with artwork in this year's show come from the various art disciplines and have demonstrated great skill and dedication to their craft. We are pleased that their art will represent Saint Joseph Academy in front of a large audience.”
Student works will be on display at the Columbus College of Art and Design from June 17-28. This year’s exhibition includes 138 pieces. OAEA’s Exhibition is “designed to help motivate and inspire new artists to excel in the areas of drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, computer art, photography and printing.”
