Sister Juanita Shealey, CSJ Honored with 2025 Heart of a Shepherd Award
Saint Joseph Academy proudly celebrates Sister Juanita Shealey, CSJ, who received the 2025 Bishop Roger Gries Heart of a Shepherd Award at the First Friday Club of Cleveland’s Bishop’s Luncheon in February.
At 94, Sister Juanita continues to inspire through a legacy of more than 70 years in Catholic education, ministry and social justice. Her impact on Saint Joseph Academy is profound as a teacher, mentor and advocate for young women.
Her words continue to resonate with generations of students: “You are the generation that’s going to get it right.” Sister Juanita has always believed in the potential of young people to lead with love and courage.
We are honored to celebrate this recognition and grateful for her lasting presence in the SJA community.
