Fall Concert Highlights Performing Arts Department

On Wednesday, October 22, members of the String Orchestra, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir and The Academy Chorale showcased their talents for the Saint Joseph Academy community.
The String Orchestra performed two pieces, “Popular” arranged by Ted Ricketts and “Waltz of the Wicked” by Kurt Mozier. The Jazz Band played two pieces as well with solos by Addison Wolverton ’26, Willa Kenny ’26, Izabella Conrad ’27, Carmen Carrero ’27, Amariah Brown ’26 and Sumaiya Hegde ’27. Three songs by the Concert Band set the audience into the fall/Halloween spirit. 
 
The Concert Choir sang four songs including “The Bat” by Andy Beck, “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” arranged by Roger Emerson, “The Owl, The Wind, and The Moon” by Mark Burrows and “Something Told the Wild Geese” by Greg Gilpin. The Academy Chorale sang three songs bringing the evening to a close. 
 
Congratulations to Instrumental Music Teacher and Performing Arts Department Chair Mr. Brian Patton, Performing Arts, Vocal Music & Dance Teacher Mrs. Hilary Watts, the String Orchestra, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir and The Academy Chorale for a wonderful performance!
