Athletic Adventures

Welcome to our premier athletic summer camps, where passion meets performance, and champions are made! Our camps are designed to ignite the fire within young female athletes, fostering skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Whether your daughter is a budding athlete eager to enhance their abilities or a seasoned player looking to take their game to the next level, our expert coaching staff is here to guide them every step of the way.

All camps are led by Saint Joseph Academy coaches or faculty with the assistance of current students. All athletic camp locations are hosted at Saint Joseph Academy unless otherwise noted. When registering for a summer program, please use the grade the camper will be enrolled in for the 2026-2027 school year.

Grades 2-5

Week 1: June 8-12

  • LACROSSE

    Location: Rawlings Field at Saint Joseph Academy

    Campers will learn and improve their lacrosse skills through drills and competitive play. In addition, girls will learn the fundamentals of the game including skill development, game rules, position work and full-field concepts.

    Campers are asked to bring their own lacrosse stick, mouthguard, goggles and a refillable water bottle each day.

  • SOFTBALL

    June 8-11, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

    Location: Victory Sports Park
    Registration Deadline: May 25

    Led by the Jaguar Head Coach and members of the Softball Program, this camp offers girls the ability to learn how to improve all-around softball skills, including an emphasis on hitting, bunting, fielding and throwing. No prior softball experience is necessary. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from Victory Sports Park. If a rain datis e needed, camp will be held at Saint Joseph Academy for that day only.

    All campers should wear athletic footwear and bring a water bottle and a softball mitt each day. If they have a bat, a batting helmet and batting gloves, they should bring them as well.

    In the last eight years, the Jaguar's Volleyball program has won five District titles, three Regional Championships and have made four OHSAA Division I Final Four appearances. The team finished the 2024 season as the OHSAA Division I State Runner-Up. Girls will focus on various skills and game play while fully experiencing Jaguar volleyball.

    Campers are asked to wear athletic clothing, knee pads and bring a refillable water bottle with them each day.

    Campers will learn and improve their basketball skills through drills and games led by the SJA Jaguars basketball team and coaches. Put on some purple and gold, come get your "paws" on a basketball and dribble, pass, shoot and defend the Jaguar way.

    Campers are asked to wear athletic shoes (preferably basketball shoes) and bring a refillable water bottle each day.

  • INTRODUCTION TO STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

    Campers will spend time each day learning lifting form, proper weight room etiquette, play-based drills to build posture and core strength, stretching techniques, playing active games and strengthening their mind as we read through an inspiring and encouraging book about overcoming difficulties.

    Campers should wear athletic shoes and bring a refillable water bottle and snack each day.

    Let's lace up and get running! Our Cross Country camp will help female athletes develop the skills needed to compete in cross country and other sports. Runners of all ability levels will focus on form, fitness and strategy.

    Campers should bring a refillable water bottle and wear appropriate running shoes each day.

  • GOLF

    July 8-10, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

    Location: Sportsville/Mastick Golf Course
    Registration Deadline: June 24

    Reserve your spot on Golf Camp’s tee sheet! This camp offers girls the opportunity to work on the fundamentals of golf, including chipping, putting, iron work and driving, based on the level of each camper. Campers will be grouped by age and golf familiarity. Girls will participate in two instruction days at Sportsville and one day of play at Mastick Golf Course. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from these locations.

    Campers are asked to bring their own golf clubs, putter, hat or visor, refillable water bottle and to wear athletic/golf shoes and sunscreen each day.

    Campers of all skill levels will participate in fun activities to improve groundstrokes, volleys, serving and match-play tactics for success on the court. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from Impett Park.

    This skills camp will emphasize ball mastery, passing, shooting and game play for the young soccer player. This week will introduce young female players to the Saint Joseph Academy Soccer program.

    Led by SJA Rugby coaches and Jaguar Rugby players, the campers will have a great week learning the skills of Rugby. No experience is necessary for campers to attend. Throughout the week, girls will learn to pass, kick and tackle! Campers will gain experience in the sport while playing games and having fun with the reigning State Champions! We hope to see you on the field this summer.

    Campers are asked to wear cleats, a mouthguard, sunscreen and bring a refillable water bottle with them each day. Campers should also bring tennis shoes in case the camp session moves inside due to weather.

    Crew on the Cuyahoga provides a positive and fun experience for girls entering grades 7-9. No prior rowing skills required; campers will be grouped by ability to provide the best environment for rowing development. Members of the Midwest Championship Saint Joseph Academy Crew team and coaching staff, a Top 5 Team Nationally, will teach campers how to row on the Cuyahoga River!

    Swim test certification and the Cleveland Rowing Foundation waiver forms are required. Campers should bring a water bottle, sunglasses and wear sunscreen and a hat or visor. Registered campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Cleveland Rowing Foundation.

    Campers are asked to wear athletic clothing and bring a refillable water bottle with them each day.
