The Performing Arts Department will be performing Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) this Spring.
Cinderella is a timeless fairytale that has captured the hearts of generations. The Enchanted Edition is the third adaptation of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic. Robert L. Freedman wrote the teleplay in 1997 for ABC’s Wonderful World of Disney. The production starred R&B legends Brandy and Whitney Houston. Brandy played Cinderella, and Houston played her Fairy Godmother. The Enchanted Edition is a more contemporary retelling of the timeless story that introduces heartwarming humor and includes a stronger female protagonist, while preserving the elegance of the original Rodgers & Hammerstein production.
