Wellness à la Française

On Monday, December 1, Saint Joseph Academy students enjoyed Wellness à la Française, a wellness event during which our French exchange students shared information and a presentation about their culture, complete with French snacks and dishes.
All five students attend the same school - École St. Charles Ste. Croix in the northwestern city of Le Mans, France. A big difference between school in the U.S. and France, they said, is that their school day ends between 4 and 6 p.m., but they have an hour or two for lunch. Charlotte Guyader, one of the French students, said, “I think that finishing earlier and still having time to hang out with friends, or just do other things in a school day has been a really good part of being a student here…I really enjoyed my time here. It was very interesting on many points.”

The five French exchange students said farewell to our school community on Wednesday, December 3, after a 2.5-week experience with their SJA host families.
