Academy Celebrates Lunar New Year

During the event, several students delighted the audience by performing a Lion Dance, featuring one big lion and one baby lion, the Chinese New Year Song, a Kung Fu Fan performance, a Martial Arts performance and a ribbon dance. Bubble tea and Bingtanghulu, a Chinese traditional street food of fresh strawberry and grapes dipped in warm sugar, were passed out to attendees to enjoy during the performances. 

 

Students who participated in the performances include Christiana Nguyen ’26, Liliane Baguma ’27, Miyah Speed ’28, Arya Amparo ’27, Yeva Borys ’26, Isabella Rees ’27, Calissa Schillinger ’28, Elizabeth Siefker ’28, Anne Lin ’27, Ivy Lin ’28, Kennedy Green ’26, Angela Bun ’28, Zuzanne Ilcin ’28, Ariana Dade ’29, Ruby Satanek ’28, Mimi Moualem ’28, Cindy Tran ’28, Kiaralis Lillo ’29, Emma Reyes ’27 and Gwenyth Baucco ’26. Karol Mansour ’26, Noel Heuberger ’27 and Jeanne Camara ’26 helped prepare refreshments. Earlier in the week, the Asian Culture Club made dumplings and other tasty creations for students to try as part of the Lunar New Year festivities.
