Artworks Selected for JESA Violin Art Competition
Students had the opportunity to participate in the inaugural Juried Exhibition of Student Art (JESA) Violin Art Competition in Ohio. This contest takes place once every four years, but it was the first time held in Ohio. There were over 8,000 students from 121 schools in 52 counties across Ohio that participated in the competition.
Artworks were first judged by region and the top five from each region were selected by grade categories. Regional winners were judged across the state to select the Streeter Hadley Matthews State winners.
Congratulations to Anna Heuberger '28, Daniela Candelaria-Luna '26, Martina Maline '26 and Cecelia O’Leary '26! Each student will receive a $500 prize.
