HSHP Students Serve the Dear Neighbor at MedWish Medworks

On Tuesday, seven members of the Health Sciences Honors Program (HSHP) went to MedWish Medworks in Cleveland to organize and pack donated medical supplies for underserved communities. The mission of MedWish Medworks "is a humanitarian nonprofit dedicated to advancing health equity and environmental sustainability."
Emma Kiernozek '28, Elizabeth Siefker '28, Catherine Yang '28, Margaret Kensick '28, Paige Frei '27, Beatrix Healey '28 and Mackenzie Loeser '28 sorted medical supplies and helped pack eight full pallets of medical supplies packages. The volunteer work was especially appreciated because the building's elevator was out of order. To ensure that the shipment could still go out on time, the students formed an assembly line to transport the packages from the third floor to the first floor.

Thank you to Health Sciences Honors Program Coordinator Ms. Kathleen Loftus '16 for organizing this service opportunity for the HSHP students.
