Department: Science Department. Mr. Srsich teaches Biology, Environmental Science and Microbiology/Zoology. He is also the National Honor Society Chapter Adviser, Labre Ministry Co-Adviser and a moderator for the Environmental Club and the VEX Robotics Club.
How long have you been teaching at the Academy?: Mr. Srsich has been teaching for 5 years at the Academy.
Why did you want to become a teacher?: "I've always liked school and had some experience with environmental outreach teaching in college, but never had any formal training," Mr. Srsich shared. "I decided in 2014 to pursue a teaching license through Baldwin Wallace University to complement my Marine Biology degree."
What do you enjoy most about the Academy?: Mr. Srsich shared the following, "I enjoy doing something different every day and seeing the academic and personal growth in students. I'm blessed to work in a supportive community that challenges me to try new things."
What is your favorite tradition at the Academy?: "My favorite tradition is all of the graduation events, especially "Walk of the Roses," Mr. Srsich shared. "It is important to celebrate the four years of hard work our graduates do to arrive at graduation day."
